Getting started
PandaRef brings your bibliographic library together with tools for putting it to work in your documents.
Account, access, and languages
Use one account for PandaRef Web and the Word add-in. The interface is available in five languages: Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, and German. Spanish and English are included; Portuguese, French, and German can be added as language packs in the add-in settings. Interface language and CSL citation language are separate settings.
In practice, sign in to PandaRef Web or create an account. Next, change the interface language in its selector; add a language pack in Word settings when prompted. Then, sign in to Word and the browser extension with the same PandaRef account. Finally, in Word, set the interface language and CSL citation language separately: one translates controls, the other affects generated citations and references.
Projects and organization
Projects keep the references, tables, and figures for each study or course together. Items saved without a project remain in the general library. Projects classify and filter items; they do not replace the bibliographic or descriptive data stored with each item.
In practice, create a clearly named project for a study, course, or team. Next, choose the destination project before saving or importing an item; a search or capture does not change the destination automatically. Then, use the project selector to filter a module or return to the whole library. Finally, use each module’s available copy or move actions to reorganize items; copying keeps the original, while moving changes its project. Finally, keep project names consistent to make later searches easier.
